Wilkes Community College’s Learning Commons: A Partnership for Student Success – Stephanie Darnell and Christy Earp, Wilkes CC

In 2020, Wilkes Community College's Academic Support Center and Library merged into a shared space, called the Learning Commons. For the past five years, library and ASC staff have learned that collaboration between departments can greatly benefit students and the wider WCC community. ASC Director Stephanie Darnell and Pardue Library Director Christy Earp will share how their partnership works and hopefully offer support to institutions contemplating similar transitions.

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Concurrent Session 1: Group Discussion - AI, Neurodiverse Students, and more!

Bring your questions and experiences to this session where we will discuss topics such as AI, neurodiverse students, instructor engagement, use of tech in tutoring sessions, and more! What are the major successes and struggles you have encountered in your centers related to these topics? What best practices can you share with the group?
