Mission

The mission of the North Carolina Tutoring and Learning Association (NCTLA) is to provide support for the development and improvement of learning and tutoring centers in the state. In addition, NCTLA provides opportunities for educational and professional development of its members that will enhance the academic success of students. NCTLA supports learning/tutoring professionals in the following ways:

• Assists in the creation of new and enhancement of existing learning and tutoring centers and programs

• Provides opportunities for professional development, networking, and exchange of ideas through conferences and workshops

• Informs the public, college, and systems office of our goals, programs, and services

• Develops uniform practices and reporting procedures

• Develops tutorial materials, methods, procedures, and services
